If I had the extra cash right now I would buy everything. I think you might be pricing the package a little bit on the "low" side, given the current difficulties that buyers are having in trying to find ammo. You might want to recheck availability and prices of similar products on the internet, if you can find them.

Hmmmm, not sure why the pics aren't showing....

See if this works:

As to being underpriced, yeah it is on the ammo,a case of Port goes for $550 or so,the SA for around $80 and the RG who knows.

I priced the mags at basically $15 each.

I can't see the photos either. When I click on the goggle link, it takes me to some goggle page but still no pics.

That's going to be one heavy package to ship. How are you going to handle that? Who is going to pay? What state are you in?

The value of an Izzy HB kit is how complete it is. Without pics, no way to answer that!

I already own two FAL's but I could always use another!

Oh, one other question about the build itself. Do you know who did the build? Any markings, etc? What markings are on the Imbel receiver? Gear logo or CAI or what?

Re: Selling off my FAL, ammo and mags...

I will have to wait until my wife gets home to post the pics....I have no idea why they aren't showing up.

Shipping at buyers expense and yes it will be VERY heavy.

I am in SC,will do FTF with neighboring states as this is allowed.

This is a complete rifle,it has everything that an Izzy kit should have, including barrel.the barrel is NOT the Israeli designated 'sniper barrel' however.

It is a no logo Imbel receiver. No idea who built it as I bought it on Gunbroker from someone in GA.

If you want I can email you the pics.

No it isn't a Springfield rifle.

It is however quite nice, especially the wood.
A lot of Izzy FAL's have beat up wood which considering their age isn't surprising.

Have had a few nibbles but nothing definite.

Sold the South African kit I had so that is something towards the tractor fund.

For something completely different I am also considering selling our lioness skin rug...But 'Elsa' is worth at least $4500 to us.

Price seems more than fair.

Re: Selling off my FAL, ammo and mags...

I priced the rifle itself to be less than most other Izzy's being offered...and oftentimes in much nicer shape.

The wood handguards and buttstock are in nice shape on this one,a lot are beat to death from the pics you see.

It is also built on a good receiver,Imbel is to me a good solid reliable receiver.

It isn't as glamorous as a Para FAL of course....

Re: Selling off my FAL, ammo and mags...

your trying to sell it on the wrong forum

go to falfiles.com
or ar15.com

those on those forums know more to what a value of a firearm is

Re: Selling off my FAL, ammo and mags...

Listed there and elsewhere...a lot of 'tire kickers' but no buyers.

Strangely enough people will pay $800-$1000 for a Heavy Barrel kit,$400 for a receiver and then all the other costs to assemble the rifle but not $1500 for a complete one....

I have found that people on such forums oftentimes only want a deal and think paying the going rate is only when they are selling....

Its getting tough out there, I was in the gunshop yesterday and they had a special going $300 off all their AR's even throwing in EOTechs at half price.
I asked him whats going on and he said no ones buying AR's anymore the price is dropping fast and he had another 50 coming next week.

he said it like the housing market in AR's

Re: Selling off my FAL, ammo and mags...

One of the reasons for this is when people find the parts kit and receiver and then have it built they know how it was built.

Do you have any documentation of who built this rifle ?
Test targets of how it shoots ?

If it was built from a kit do you have all of the RBL (Required by law) 922R parts and if so what are the compliance parts that were used ?

There are a lot of shade tree gun smiths out there and some of the techniques I have seen on the Fal Files makes me cringe.

Will the selector rotate into the A position ? If it will this can lead to legal entanglements with your local LEO's and or other agencies.

ETA: I have a friend that may be interested if you can please answer these questions.
